armor

Hey guys,

	I am responding in regards to the additional protection that
steel and adamantite gives to armor.  If I remember correctly, Dan
explained it in the following way:  for every 3 points of CDV and/or
MDV, steel adds +1 to that defense value, while adamantite adds +2.
By using this reasoning, steel shields have DVs of 4/4/1 and adamantite
shields are 5/5/1 for defense.  It is also why steel plate is 8/5/2 and
adamantite plate is 10/6/2.  I think that you round down when determining
how many bonuses to give the armor, but I am not sure.
	If anyone is interested, I have compiled a list of all of the armor
that I have seen at AQ, and I have found the DVs for steel and adamantite
versions of the armor.  Studded leather, scale mail, and full plate armor
are on the list for anyone that is interested.
