On a similar note... Since Galeia is mostly elves, and elves have
a traditional affiliation with bows... how about a group of 
adventurers bumping into some elven bow craftsmen who take one look
at the adventurer's bows, point out a fatal flaw in design and
suddenly the range goes up to where it should? Of course word of 
this better technique would spread like wildfire and old style
bows would cease to exist within a few months.

'course I always advocate handling such things in game terms :)
