BJ's Summary for Game on 2/6/10031

Hook: A message is in need of being delivered. Meet at The Other
Sanctuary at 2pm.

Party Members: Temidar, Kalaran, Magnus, Omega, Soldat Crummly, The person
currently known as the Spoon symbol, Illyana.

The party meet a man known as Tunin, a (suspected) Priest of Tarus that
hired some adventurers for a mission a while back. The overall goal of
this mission was for the cell of Tarusians that Tunin represents to get in
contact with a other cell that was rumored to use the western towns to
depart from the island.

Prior to the meeting, Tunin raised a Truth Scan spell. Each person was
questioned as to who they were, what they were good at, and what god they
followed - two gongs (Magnus and Omega) on the god question. The party
was informed that the task was to deliver a scroll to some people in
Gendel. The party was given a vague description of the four people and
a possible name of one of them. Having agreed on payment the party was
told that they would be gathered the next day and given the scroll.

Due to the party's falsehood on the god question and the need to protect
the message and the message senders, the message was placed inside an
enchanted scroll case - a "curse" and a "devotion" is thrown on anyone
opening it. The party was given the box containing the scroll case and
were off. There were no initial problems to speak off short of Magnus
waking up Kalaran when he tried to get the scroll case.

The following night, Magnus succeeded in getting the scroll case without
waking Kalaran up - Magnus is now a follower of Tarus. Now being devoted
to the cause, he read the message/invitation for the possible priests in
Gendel to meet with the Rougtero priests.

Much to my disappointment, that same night, at least one person on each
watch heard "faint snoring noises" but none went to investigate. Too bad,
I had already flipped the book to the frajodracko write-up. Very
disappointing - let spleeping dracko's lay, I guess.

The next day, the party was attacked by an Earth mage and two thugs. The
party quickly dispatched the small group but not before Kalaran failed an
overload and did 20 dp to herself, then failed another one and erased
4 years of her memory. Opps.

As the party rested that night, a group of Priests of Scrogg, sent to make
sure the message never reached the other priests, surrounded the party and
attacked. Actually, this was a lot of fun but I won't bore everyone with
the lengthy details. The results of the battle: everyone was
eventually incapacitated in some way or another or fled; Soldat Crummly
was slain; the priests found the scroll case and took it with them.
Temidar gave a nobel persuit as a Garzoon but was incapacitated for an
hour. Ilyana vowed to take revenge on the priests for their actions
against her and her god.

After the party re-grouped, they continued on to Gendel and found
the people they were looking for though they did not receive a warm
welcome. Magnus repeated the message to them though they acted as though
they did not know why they were receiving such a letter.

The party went back to Rougtero and told their employer of the events that
happened.

The message was originally dated to have the Gendel priests meet the
Rougtero priests 8 days from when it was delivered. However, since many
of the party members want revenge and can't be at AQ this coming weekend,
I told the players that I didn't have a problem adjusting the date on the
letter. The time will depend on how long next week's games are but I
would like to GM the ramifications of last weekend's game in a week and a
half.
