flame-KC :-)
Ok, Time for my 2 cents ...
Yes Kevin and that is all it would do. Smart (at
least I do .. and I am not all that wise)low rateing
players dd not mult anyway as their MOD is low and
hitting a second time is hard to do.
I would like to see a limit on mult and go with a
spit dice way of doing things (though not with parry
... I like your way of doing that). The problem is the
spells do so so much damage that to make the fighter a
playable combat skill (mult attacks) have to do more
damge.
With my PC leather, I had to buy lighting bolt. I
have a +3 dagger and can get out 4 attacks with it.
Only at my rateing the GM's attack me with high DP( or
a lot of little DP guys) NPC's. By the round three, I
has helded or someone was saveing me And my STR is 17
with a wrestling skill of 15.
:)funny the way bad guys have a high weastling skill
when you do :)
This is a game that fights realy don't go more than
three rounds or the parity is in for it.
The way the game is played now, taking away that one
attack hurts the fighter a lot. I would gone with a
priest of Orus buying Marine STR skills, in place of a
Marine buying Orus spells. Even if my STAT are best
for a Marine and I got the change to buy a +3 dagger.
Now the math. It takes a made 2.5 to 3 (got to buy
DP) games to got a 6D6 attack as a air mage. The a
fighter-Marine has a built in limit on skill so 6
attacks are hard for most persons. The close to the
same amout of EP( 2.5 games), well get you a skill of
8 for a die six damage weapon. The way you want to do
things the weapon user gets 2D6 attack(sometimes) and
most roll to hit. Sure the mage has only one shot but
in this game he who does the most damage frist wins.
3 games later, The mage gets two shots. The Warrior
gets to make that 2d6 attack all the time.
well that is my flame for tonight ... thank you
Andrew L.
P.S. If you did not get this from between the lines,
yes, I would like to see lower damage in the game, and
the spell damage lowered. Players might have to think
around problems without blowing them up. I am glad to
see this starting in some games.
