RE: Nexus-remove

Andrew,

I believe you are the one to start anything if it is so.

There used to be a convention that GMs would not tinker too badly with
other GM's plot devices unless it was agreed with the plot creating GM. The
NEXUS is my plot line. Brandon, quite rightly, came to me and discussed his
adventure and its ramifications.

You have some difficulty with me running the newbie games? First I heard of
it. As a matter of fact it was people from the club that ASKED me to run
them this year. I guess that my running newbie games for years on end and
attracting a lot of people to the club has suddenly changed after all these
years. Perhaps you should ask the newbies what they think of my GMing. I
invite you to do this.

You are not imaginative enough to find some other way to get to these other
worlds? Did you attempt to in character? Did your adventurer discover that
the current state of non-portalness is only in an area of a couple hundred
mets around Rougeterro? Or did you simply make assumptions, use out of
character information and disrupt a game by cross-examining its GM out of
character while he was still running the game?

I will even suggest that those whom still wish to travel to other places
need only take a sea journey of moderate length and find someone capable of
creating the appropriate portal. Too bad you are so upset because you could
not come up with this.

"Once the gods get wind of this"? Too bad for you and good for constancy
and the adventurers that I run the gods.

I started this wave? Andrew, I did not get upset at anyone, I did not
disrupt a game with a out of character cross examination and I do not
publicly hassle GMs in front of the general playing populace.

"It was as bad as is, that DAN was allowed anywhere near the newbie games"

I am not sure that anyone can interpret that in any way which is not
personal. This is sad. I shall not respond in kind.

My not showing up at the club every week was propagated by the simple fact
that it was just not fun anymore. Why? Because of pointless bickering and
political machinations of people wanting to have control over their
character's fates in an out of character manner. It is people getting into
arguments and going through these kinds of antics that made me dread showing
up each Saturday evening. If you want the club to prosper, please consider
getting some perspective and going back to playing the game, not
manipulating the politics.

I AM NOT HAPPY!!!!!!!!!!!

A GM, who GM,s less than once every two mouths has destoryed the
Nexus, and gone back into time to make HIS DEAD PC (again HIS DEAD PC) ,
and the god, Tarus alive and well.

I don't know what I have the most problem with after the fact the
OLD campaign
coordinator, Dan know and let him do it. It was bad as is, that Dan was
allowed anywhere near the newbie games. I will not go into that old
fight.

The way this was done with the bad guy(s) only neededing a Otherwold
portal and a box to kill eveything, ( again EVERYTHING on Jaern ),was
very badly done. Please make note that they did not needed the Nexus at
all.

Once the gods get word of this, I realy can not see then letting any
such portals work. I don't see other worlds haveing them work as well.

This in turn, kills ALL off world game(s) and campaign(s) like
mine. I and other GM's have made the Nexus work. It is funny to me that
my bad guy's had to deal with the Gods before distorying worlds. I did
it that way becuase it should not be easly to distory a world.

This is a call for a "it did not really happen ruleing" from the
other GM's. I can not see letting one game start us fighting again. I
was asked nicely not to make waves and start the fighting back up over
Dan GM'ing the newbies. I will point out it is DAN, who started this
wave by going way to over the top once again. Dan , I hope you work with
the other GM's into makeing this right. I like you and enjoy seeing you
at the games. Hopefuly this well not go back to the old newsgroup
fights.

Thank You,
Andrew M. Luers
