Re: tackling (was Re: anything i wsay..)



I disagree.  From personal experience, tackling is much easier to do to a
combative opponent than just trying to grab on and throw them.  I think
that there is a definite distinction between grappling and tackling.  

when I said "free action"  I meant an unopposed action, not the free
action in the book.  Blind siding someone might give a full unopposed
round, but that would be surprise anyway and doesn't require a skill.

Tackling can also be seen as an "overbear" manuver where an armed opponent
just rushes another, and blocks attacks as he body-checks the other
knocking him over.  This would make more sense in a combat situation than
the standard football style tackle.
