Game Summary

My adventure lasted about seven days.  Three days to get there, three to
get back, and one for everyone to get ready to go on the mission.

Also, I gave some magic items and I was wondering what is the current
procedure is on those.  It has been well over a year since I have seen
any semblence of a magic item database.

Here is what happened on my adventure.  If anyone would like additional
information, let me know.

The party met with a couple of my actors:  Seneschal Meladeer and
Maellon in the town square errrr.... circle.  After acquiring a better
place to discuss matters, my actors discussed the mission with the
party.

The mission was to investigate why status reports from some western
observation outposts stopped coming.  Even though a military force was
sent to investigate.  The seneschal thought it would be wise to send
some "professionals" to investigate as well.

Once the formalities were out of the way, the party went to Atalia so
that further preparations can be made for the journey.  The party was
equipped with winter gear as well as at least two weeks of provisions. 
Additonally, they were temporarily given a letter stating that they were
conducting business for the emperor.

In the morning, the party left New Felinus to head to the outposts. 
After a day of uneventful travel, they set up camp.  During the night, a
war horse with a dead body slumped over it wandered into the party's
campsite.  After examining the body, it was discovered that the person
died of blunt injuries.  Additionally, this person was wearing a
military uniform.

During the next day, the party continued traveling.  The day's journey
went uneventfully.  During the night, the party was attacked by a small
group of kobolds.  This encounter was rather lacklust since the kobold
bugged out when they were unable to overpower the party quickly (not to
mention they realized that if they stayed, they would get their ???es
kicked).

During the next day, the party started traveling through the mountains
that are to the west of New Felinus.  During the day, they came to a
fork in a road.  One path lead to an ambush the other was safe.  The
party chose the path with the obvious signs of safety and a annoying
encounter with kobolds was avoided.  

Shortly after this scene, the party came across a large valley.  In this
valley was at least a thousand hobgoblin troops that set up camp.  After
debating several minutes as to what to do next, some members of the
party noticed that some bad guys had managed to get behind them on the
same narrow trail that they were on (actually the trail allowed two
people to stand side to side).  After a heated battle, the party was
able to defeat the bad guys.  After collecting the dead and injured as
well as the bad guy's equipment, they started heading home.  Since time
had ran out, nothing happened on the way home.

After giving their reports to their employers, the party took their pay
and went home.  Certain players who were/are residing in Atalia had just
enough time to get their possessions to safety before the full scale
invasion began.

Important Notes
---------------
There is now a hostile force on the Atalian side of the Nexus.  Other
than the scouts (that I am just going to say were captured by the
priests of T'or), they do not yet have any intention of crossing. 
Mostly because their scouts have not reported back.

The character Holden Magroin died.  Levi took his body and possessions
back to the temple of Orus in Roguetero.

Currently, the duchy of Felinus (in Atalia) is occupied by hobgolin
forces.  The city of New Felinus is under seige.  Travel between Atalia
and Jaern through the Nexus/dimensional rift is restricted due to this
force.
