What your missing BJ is that the under padding/layers of filler that are
there are part of the armor not a seperate piece ( at least that is how
my understanding of it is for plate ). As for the chain if you remove
it and leave the padding it doesn't matter if you count it as 1/1/1 or
not. If you take the padding as DV you get the movement restriction if
you don't you don't.

As for the chain not weighing much it isn't nothing but its not a ton.
