Earth

Here's my argument:

1)	It's a simple game.

2)	It's an EARTH spell.

3)	It's cast relative to the nearest (to where the field is
	being set) planetary grade mass worth of EARTH

The boat:
=========
Having it this way makes it too easy to steal a boat! Blue field the crew
then hop on the boat as the boat drifts away, and the crew doesn't move.

My point:

As opposed to type 1 BF where one hops onto the boat while the crew is
drifting along with it, and pushes them overboard? (referred to earlier
as 'a good bit of fun')

It makes it no easier than an early incarnation of the spell to steal a
boat. (and makes the caster do a bit more labor than a handful of other
ways to steal one)

Transdimensional:
=================

Depends if there's a planet in there. However, as most transdimensional
adventures take place in a realm "just like Jearn, but with(out) blah,"
presume it attatches relative to the nearest planetary body of earth in
that dimension.

Space:
======

Again, it would be relative to nearest planetary mass. The only exception
I could think of is a REALLY FRIGGIN BIG mostly mineral/earth composition
space station (Dramatic music ... "That's no moon.").

x ft radius:
============

1)	This was proposed in response to a portable amount of earth being used
	as the "anchor" for the spell.

	If the "anchor" becomes non-portable, the need for switching
	"anchors" is removed.

2)	paratroopers
	Now, I need the assistance of my little undead bat friend, Sparky,
	and everyone's favorite pet, Harvey the Wonder Hamster!
	(Harvey, Harvey, Harvey the Wonder Hamster ...)

	1)	I get my (x+1) foot stepladder (or create one with shadow
	object and a regular stepladder)
	2)	I get a convenient-to-carry sized rock.
	3)	With rock and Harvey in tow (and Sparky following closely)
		I climb to the top.
	4)	I cast and defer BIG NASTY spell on item of Harvey's (say,
		this handkerchief I tie to his back)
	5)	I blue field my little buddy, anchoring it to this
		conveniently-sized rock.
	6)	I give the rock to Sparky and tell him to always follow me
		around, but stay this high (or a successful command for
		such to that effect)
	7)	When I need the spell, I say "Drop the rock, Sparky"
	8)	Oh look, the rock has plummetted, but Harvey's BFed x ft
		up there (I expend an EU to drop my spell)
	9)	Paratrooper Harvey floats in to save the day.

(Of course, if I anticipate needing a spell urgently, then I omit the
handkerchief in favor of a 10 pound lead weight, but then he's Bombadeer
Harvey :)   )

Did I miss anything?
