There's been a lot of talk about this back and forth (a LOT of talk) and to
be honest, were this item brought up at a GM's meeting as a voting item to 
propose a change to Dan, (That is still the way we do things, I believe) I
would tend to lean in favor of the third option, where the Blue Field stays
with Jaern.

Yes, I know there has been all sorts of discussion about what would happen 
on a space ship, or an asteroid, but I would say that those extremely special
cases don't hold very much weight. Adventures that leave Jaern, or go into
alternate dimensions need pre-approval from Dan, and I imagine that Dan
would only allow such an adventure to be run by a responsible GM, who would
be able to make an adjudication of that special case, were it to come up.
As it stands, these situations are a miniscule minority.
