Whoa! Automatically High Priests? I guess if you don't believe you owe
allegience to you creator. Obviously there are that many "church" functions
you need to attend.

They aren't Base Evil they are Base Chaos. They exist to cause chaos.
Traveling around the world with a party pretty much meets lending to your
cause. The "evil" aspect of Rudri is the whole Blood thing ("do the blood
thing, do the blood thing") that they need to sustain themselves while
they bring chaos.

So less disruptive is not truly the word since they live for chaos. But the
levels they work on are different. A good roleplaying hirudo ( using the
background as reality ) would hide his hirudoism and only go on missions
he felt would lead to more chaos. Maybe even start spreading lies in a party
about others in the party. But this might get him killed which would be
against the whole chaos thing. The desires of Hirudo are not to cause their
own death nor are they nihilism ( personalities may vary of course ).
Less disruptive to the party? Yes. To the world? No. As people state they
overall will hide the rudri thing unlike Priests of Scrogg who just tend to
molest all the actors and characters ( unless they are "behaving" themselves ).
I personally have no aspirations to become a hirudo with any of my adventures
and if my best bud turned into one I wouldn't care much since I lived with
him before and becoming a hirudo doesn't change much but how you do your
thing. In character I know a certain High Priest of Ra that is friends with
a VERY powerfull Hirudo and they've known each other for quite the time
without it ever getting in the way.
