Yes, Rob, you are absolutely correct, Soke would have no
trouble doing such a thing.  But that is a far cry from JimBob
the rate 10 warrior with Long Sword skill of 12 (who needs
DP?  ;-)  ) being able to do something like that.  Just because
the super-human (and there is zero doubt in my mind that Soke
has progressed beyond the normal limits of humanity), can
do such things does not mean that any warrior can do such
once they've had a bit of practice.  We're talking a lifetime of
dedicated practice and personal commitment here.  Think
about it.  I'd place a rate 10 warrior at about go kyu, should
he be able to do that?  What about ni kyu?  Ni dan?  Sho dan?
Where would you put that ability?  And now, what level of
competency does that translate to in AQ?

there is zero doubt in my mind that soke could whack a couple
of arrows out of the air while in hand ot hand combat
