I've heard this one before and any docter(except maybe huntingford he's a
bit wacko)
will tell you that you need four srugeons and any extremely expensive
operating room to remove a kidney. a quick whack job in a hotel and an ice
bath wont suffice if 
you want the patient to live.  The hole in that story is as big as the jet
