Queations and Answers

First Questions:

I have been told that the verbal casting skill only works for priestly
spells, however, the write-up in the book uses mage casting as it's
examle. Has Dan made a ruling on whether elemental spells may be cast
as well with verbal casting?

The opposite question of using non-verbal casting as a preist arrises.

Just wondering, as I play a mage/ptiest character

And (hopefully) answers:

Characters of normal intelligence begin at rate 2 with 2 languages their
racial language, and a second language of their choice. It makes sense
that a priest of Anubis should take Tusparol as his second language,
rather than getting a third language for free. The rank of Tusparol is
then dependent on the characters starting Int stat. This is how I
handled Tusparol with my priest of Anubis. The forseeble difficulty is
for non-human priests who would have to choose between Tusparol and
Paroli as a second language. However, given the unbalanced creature
abilities a non-human begins with, having to buy Tusparol doesn't seem
out of line.

Paroli,ect..?

Tusparol is a sign language by definition, making it unsuitable for
spell casting were a verbal component is required. An Anubian normally
casts in his native tongue...ie paroli unless he is non-human.
