Yep the maul was the pitchfork of Bravehart. Peasants gather together
to kill a monster they grab pitchforks and torches. Nowadays its
bats and chains. Braveheart they grabed mauls and heh pitchforks.

Real weapons do a real good job. Improvised weapons do the job but
generally not as well. Given the choice between grabbing a
Battle-axe and a Maul I'm not going to go "oo oo give me the MAUUUL"
