Wright's Maul

Everyone,

Just wondering does it really matter what DP represents, I thought
the real question was whether a wooden block on a chain would do
more damage than an axe etc. I mean do we think a wooden block on a
chain (which would hurt mightily) will do MORE harm than battle
hammer, great flail, or long sword (all 1d10). If so than we
suggest it gets changed, if not we are done. I don't think anyone
argues that it would hurt (as per Lyle's braveheart example, it can
be quite deadly), but will it hurt more than these previous examples
which are edged. Maybe the solution is to take the non edged
weapons which are a d10 and move them down to a d8 (possible with a
+1 or something to one or two of them, (yes I know we don't us plus'
that much)).

Just a thought.
