More-on Tor-ons
All right, I'll say it: I disagree with the ruling on Keith, although I DO
agree that he has some come-uppence. I wouln't rule that Tor himself would
have intervened because he isn't breaking any black-and-white laws. What
he would get is some more terrestrial retribution.
Option 1) Word gets out he's a mutie. His fellow Torites tease him
and try to rile him into a fight he's bound to win because he's a mutie.
RESULT: sanctions from the marsal.
Option 2) Because he's stronger than the average bear, he is charged with
more responsibility: more of the brute labor around the enclave,
assignments to go after Public Enemy #1, blah-blah-blah. Also, since he's
now so much stronger, his old holy symbol is no longer the weapon with
which he can most efficiently dispense Tor's justice. [I believe that this
is explicitly one of the criteria for generating a priest of Tor]
RESULT: the Marsal takes his old holy weapon away and orders him (using
his own funds garnered while adventuring) to have commissioned a newer,
bigger monster of a sword (new skill, new damage, new item number).
Bah! Enough said. Now I can get sleep............. >|p
