Howdy.

This is the list for GMs of the Geleia setting. I added you here
cause you all expressed interest in running in it, I hope you continue
to do so.

I honestly plan to be a bit protective of the setting, cause I don't
want folks tearring up the landscape and flavor that have no
business doing so.

Jevan suggested a possible test, something to make sure folks know
the history and flavor of the place so they can run it best.

A couple of notes have been made about the place so far that stand out:
	Geleia is about people.
Geleia isn't for the weak and stupid.
	Geleia is not like Lojem.

These are all very true about the place. Most of the monsters are gone
from the island, the biggest, the Dragon of Liston is now a businessman
of sorts(putting the hoard to work for him). Granted their'll be some,
but they shouldn't be super common. The monsters should be on outer
islands, or be the stuff of legend and wierdness. Thing like werewolves,
hirudo, fairies, etc... thats cool, but monsters shouldn't be dime
a dozen. I have put in a mechanism for the uncreative, or for something
cool, and that is bandits and marauders. In the southern foothills
of the mountains, there are several large tribes of orcs who aren't exactly
friendly in nature, and when all the money disappeared a BUNCH of people
turned bandit. So there is a huge bandit problem, which could lead to
the rise of a political entity based around the bandits may be?

Geleia isn't for the weak and stupid. If people are dumb, and screw
with the wrong people, its going to hurt badly. We've never had true
political entities in the central setting before that reacted back, and
looked down on the general anarchy that players cause and took action
against it. While this isn't carte blanche to squish everyone who gets
upityi t is something tokeep in mind. A squad of 15 or so warriors
in plate with a CM of 6 wielding Halberds is gonna ruin a lot of days as
we found out this weekend. The big folks in geleia don't come after
you personally, they send flunkies to do it. =) I'm not sure how
people will react to this, but I hope favorably, I know so far I've
REALLY enjoyed it.

The general flavor I'd like to see maintained is high fantasy. Not
renisaince, not tech, just straight fantasy. I.e. no space ship adventures,
no little martians with guns showing up and zorching people, etc...
I hope this isn't a problem with folks, but if it is, sorry.

I'll write more, laters.
