Issues.

Howdy guys, I've developed some fairly serious concerns over the past
day or two, mainly being, is there a point to moving to geleia.  My
biggest concern is are we going to keep seeing the nasty ass unlimited
power adventurers/people creeping up?  Things like my Marine Jander
who has more mutates cast on him than nearly anyone, things like
Greg's ability to teleport anywhere he has ever been, Steve and Jevan's
shadowwalkers, the rings of mental communcation, people knowing everyone
else's characters from the start, mobile portals bound to bags to
create the ultimate bag of holding, etc...  Don't get me wrong,
this kinda game can be fun, but does everyone really enjoy having
a game where its not about what your character's skills are, but
the magical items he has or the rules you can torque?

Is that the kind of game we want to continue having?  Where people
get these extraordinary powers...  If so, then we do not need
to move to Geleia.  The place is less powerful than either of the
other 2 current settings by the by.  The only real holders of
personal power are the Barrits, but they going by what I know of'em,
couldn't really stand up power for power with what the current game
has.  Granted a couple might be at the rate 140 or so mark, but still,
I've seen the monsters we have now, and they'll saw through'em.
The big lords of the place are not gonna be that high rating, and
if they are, it'll have quite little to do with combat abilities.


Hmm...I'm rambling.  Anyways, the point is, are people going to
be draggin their high raters along and trying to take the place
over?  I don't think I'll be dragging my Earth Mage along, I'll
leave him on Lojem, and I'm thinking of just retiring Jander,
I like him, but he's too ugly and just playing my warrior.

I guess what I'm getting at, is the reason I started this was
for a fresh start on the game, not the same old same old.  And
like I said..if its gonna be the same crap, different background
whats the point?
