Re: Hirudo as PC's

Well, in reply to Lyle, I think that segregating the game in any way
administratively is a bad idea; anytime a GM directly interferes with the
free will of my characters I call it a screw (unless it is advantageous,
then it is munching).

In addition, the whole thing about allignments being thrown out is that
they are _purely_ subjective. The ones that fancy themselves as "good"
can justify any act in the name of the greater good. Hitler did just that
in the name of racial purity and the like. In the case that players who
play "good" characters leaving the campaign because of too many evil ones,
it is as much their fault as the evil ones because they take offence to
the mere presence of certain individuals. Priests of Ra and Tor going on
Jihads against players has happened, and may in the future, but never
forget that "good" people are more often the aggressors. Steve mentioned
as well that Rudri tends to believe her actions are for the good of
society, just like the priests of Ra. This dichotomy is really the
beautiful part of teh Jearnian pantheon, and the Hirudo part should not be
excluded from gameplay for convenience reasons.

In short, limiting diversity is a bad judgement call, and I would like to
see GMs guide the introduction of Hirudo instead of preventing their
playing because of morality issues or convenience.
