Sep 26, 2006 - Awarded 2nd degree in TKD

Aug 3-6, 2006 - Attended ISMAC 2006

May 23, 2006 - Joined ARMA and started practicing longsword

June 2006 - attended Serrada seminar in Fort Wayne

Nov 19, 2005 - Attended short Modern Arnis seminar in Fort Wayne at Hoffman's Karate. Chuck Gauss instrcting.

July, 2005 - Went to Keluarga 2005. 4 days of Silat and I've got the bruises to prove it. PSP Style Silat: www.combat-silat.com.

June, 2005 - Modern Arnis Summer Camp in Lansing/MI. Another 4 days of Arnis. Tested for yellow belt. Go me.

October, 2004 - Went to Arnis Fest near Chicago. 4 days of stick fighting goodness.

June, 2004 - Begin attending Modern Arnis classes under Will Higginbotham

March, 2004 - Still at TKD. My sparring still leaves much to be desired and my jump is attrocious (maybe 6 inches). I have also started a distance learning course in Silat (Specifically Silat Zulfikari) and made it up to Grand Rapids once this month to get some live instruction and practice. I hope to get up there at least once a month.

December 11, 2003- Kris and I get black belts in Tae Kwon Do.

October 31, 2003 - Article abou LMAC in local newspaper.

October 4, 2003 - Kris and I competed in Snow's MA Tournament in Delphi, IN. Kris took a trophy in her Kata division, I took one for weapons kata and we both took awards for sparring and breaking! Good stuff. Our first tournament and a great experience.

February 2001 - Kris and I joing Lafayette Martial Arts Club under Mister Rick Tague. Major art is Tae Kwon Do but with lots of emphasis on contact sparring.

earlier - The first formal lessons I took were a semester with the TKD club at Purude. Later I learned under Soke Dan Pate in Oikeiro Ryu Aikijitsu. I spent a year there and held a blue belt rank. That was a while ago though...
